Visitors, Sunshine, and Celebrations

February was a fun month! John's parents came for another visit. Last time they were on this side of the world, they traveled all around Australia and we all went to New Zealand together.  This time, we kept it local- showing them our favorite restaurants, introducing them to friends, taking a quick weekend trip to Berry (a small town down on the south coast), and living the beach life.

Dinner at our local pub- The Oaks

Our Airbnb in Berry- super cute!

Amazing dinner at South on Albany

Our place had an awesome backyard... Rudy (and Will) loved it!

Fitzroy Falls

I don't know if they were "The World's Best Pies"... but they were pretty damn good!

Kiama Blowhole

We rented a house in Manly for the last few days of their visit. It was about a 10 minute walk from the beach.. and had an amazing patio!

My daily ferry ride home... I could get used to this!

Homemade chicken and dumplings courtesy of Pam... so good!

I did a few early morning swims since the ocean was RIGHT THERE!

Twinssies!

Dinner with Whitney and Wes

Dinner with the Australian crew

Final dinner at Hugo's in Manly

It was a lovely visit and it's always fun showing off this beautiful place!

In other February news... a cooking class at Sydney Fish Market for John's birthday gift!

Singapore Chilli Crab..mmmhmm!

A beautiful Manly morning cheering on our swimmer friends-

A glorious hike in the hood-

Jose Gonzalez at The Opera House-- my birthday present from John boy!

A quick work trip to Melbourne where I celebrated Chinese New Year...

And saw Nick Offerman live! Laughed til I cried.

My birthday dinner at SoCal-

A movie night in the park-

An insane bloody mary. Not American-good... but pretty good.

A Saturday arvo hike around North Head...

That ended with a picnic at Shelly Beach!

(The camera loves us)

And finally... Proper Mexican food! Still no cheese dip.. but definitely the best Mexican we've had in Sydney.

Happy March, my people!
