A Special Visitor, Lawn Bowl, and a Birthday Boat

The day after we got back from America, one of our very best friends came to visit us in Sydney! It was SO FUN. We showed her around, beached it, climbed the harbour bridge, introduced her to our friends here and escaped to the Blue Mountains for a weekend getaway. Ummmmmm SO FUN, I SAID! 

Since we were all traveling over Christmas, our little group of friendsies planned a lawn bowl sesh to catch up on eachothers adventures! Reunited and it felt so good!

Have I said how lucky I feel to have this group of people in my life?? Man oh man. 

John, our friend Wes, and I all have birthdays a few weeks apart so we hired out a boat for a little booze cruise around the harbour. It was amazing...beautiful weather, friends, dancing, and a few cocktails :)

Home Sweet Home

Ahh... the good ole USA! After my work announced a sales conference in Las Vegas for early December, John and I decided to make a trip out of it! We did Vegas...

I did Chicago with my college gurls....

John did Jackson with his bro-dawgs....but he's a dude and didn't take any pics. 

And then we both did Nashville (and the surrounding areas)!

We saw allll of our family and friends (from across the country!), met our friends' new precious baby...and ate and drank A LOT. We (I) probably gained 20 pounds alone in mexican food. It was especially nice to be home for Christmas! Christmas is just meant to be celebrated in cold weather, am I right?  As nice as it was being home for the holidays, we were both looking forward to getting back to Sydney summer and reuniting with our dearest Rudy... who turned two while we were away. He's the cutest dog in the world.
