Adelaide is about a 2 hour flight from Sydney and is the capital of SA.
It's a cute, funky little town that is on the coast but also has lots of amazing vineyards.
We started with dinner Friday night at a place called Press. Uhhhmazing. We did the tasting platter and got to try a lot of unique things we wouldn't have ordered otherwise.
We also made some new friends who led us to another bar afterwards.
A couple bottles of wines and a few shots later...
We were up bright and early for our wine tour of the Barossa Valley, about an hour outside of Adelaide.
We visited 5 vineyards and came home with about 8 bottles of wine. Now the true test...saving them for a special occasion!
We started Sunday at a cafe...per the usual.
Then made our way to the beach.
One of John's friends from college lives in Adelaide. She played basketball at Lambuth and moved back home to Adelaide after graduation. We met her and her boyfriend for lunch. Unfortunately no pictures of the lunch...maybe because I was a little intimidated by their height. But I do have a pic of me showing off my bball skills...
Can't believe I didn't go pro.
We finished the afternoon with some beers...
A nice weekend getaway and we can check Adelaide off our list!
In other news... John went hiking with some friends while I was up camping in the central coast...
Rudy came face to face with the neighborhood bush turkeys....
And I Facetimed with Gran Gran...
Have a good week!!
