We had to get our cable and internet transferred to our new apartment. We are going on day 10 and still no transfer. No excuses either..just "not sure what the hold up is...but it won't be long now"
What the what?? How long can that possibly take?? Isn't it just a switch and a click? Obviously I should work at a tech company...
The bus home from work is 10-15 minutes late everyday. Every. Day. Shouldn't they add another bus?? Or change the bus schedule?
Every store (except for a couple of big grocery store chains) closes at 6pm every night except Thursday. Thursday is "shopping night" in Sydney. Wanna go to Target after work on Monday? Nope. Can't do it. It will be closed by the time you get there because the BUS WAS LATE PICKING YOU UP. Need to buy some shampoo after work on Tuesday at the pharmacy near your house? Nope. Sorry boutcha. Gotta wait til Thursday.
Wanna meet some friends for drinks around 9 Friday night? Might want to start the night earlier because the bar will be kicking you out before midnight.
Your coworker leaves work for 2 weeks on paternity leave and you are left to cover his accounts..with no guidance, instruction, previous notes, names, numbers, etc. But "that's ok, he'll be back in a couple of weeks. No worries!"
Ok I'm done. Thank you for listening. John says Australia is "good for me" and my "short fuse".... Whatever that means ;)
On a positive note...we had DEAR Day last Friday at work. "Drop Everything And Run" at 3pm. Outta there early. The whole office shut down early for the weekend. Schmokay...I'll take it.
We celebrated the Chinese New Year with some duck, broccoli, and calamari. And vino of course.

Happy Monday, wild ones! Oh yeah- we watched the Super Bowl this morning at 10am in the work kitchen. Strange.
