So John and I had been talking for several months about how we wanted to do something crazy. We'd been married for 3 years, we both had stable jobs that we enjoyed, we lived in a great city close to most of our family and friends. But we just felt like there was something, some chapter, standing between our young adult life and our baby makin life. We wanted an adventure before we settled down and started a family. We wanted to travel...we wanted to grow and expand and enhance our world. We were open to anything. And put it out into the universe.
A few months ago, John got an email about a position in Sydney. A promotion. An all-expenses paid relocation to a country across the world. A 2 year commitment. A perfect opportunity. So we jumped at it. He applied, networked, interviewed, accepted. And here we are. We are renting out our condo, selling our cars, I'm quitting my job, and we are saying goodbye for now to our comfortable, wonderful life in Nashville.
We arrive in Sydney on October 28th. Here's to our life down undah!
